International Soccer Clinic June 9-13

Hi Parents, I  hope you are all well. It has been a few months since the SMSC Academy and I wanted to update you on the summer clinic. Due to some of the schools districts extending their school year we moved our summer clinic one week back to June 9th through the 13th. We had just under 300 kids attend the Academy this year but we are only accepting the first 180 kids for our June clinic. We currently have 57 registered. We are keeping the 180 maximum number due to our coach to child ratio that keeps the groups manageable. We will have 24 fantastic coaches lined up this year with the normal faces the kids love to see and in addition we have 6 NCAA Division One Soccer seniors joining the crew this year. This clinic will have the best coaching crew ever and your children will learn a lot. We will be focusing on skill development and also working on tactical development in game like situations. I have attached a flier which has more information on it. If you would forward this to your address book or perhaps you might know some kids on your child’s team that would like to join your child at this years clinic. We look forward to holding your child/children’s spot by completing the attached application and sending it back to me at the address on the flier with a deposit of $50 or the paid in full amount. For some that are wanting to pay by credit card we will have a few credit card machines available at registration on the 9th. I will follow up soon with updates.

We look forward to coaching your kids again.

U5-U8 Awards Ceremonies

Please plan to attend your age group ceremony to assist with the medals.  This is your reward for the hard work that you have spent over the past year.  The information is listed below:

Saturday, March 8th
11:00 U5 & U6 Teams will gather under the pavilion.
12:00 U8 Teams will gather under the pavilion.

SMSC Division 3 VP and Commissioners will talk to the group of parents for approximately 10 minutes and then hand out medals to each player.  Every player (U5-U8) will leave the field with a medal hanging on their neck!

If a player is missing from the ceremony for any reason, the coach will need to let their commissioner know while we are handing out the medals and we will give you one for each player who was unable to attend.

NO medals will be given out before the ceremony for any reason!  Please make sure that your players attend the ceremony to get their medal, this is important to the players and they have worked hard all year to earn this privilege.

Thank you for your time and for all that you have done during the season.
