Div II: All Star Soccer

Primary Rostered Division II Teams

The South Mississippi Soccer Club and FC United now offers players in the U9 through U19 age groups the opportunity to play Division II soccer only with year-round training and highly competitive tournament play. These teams will be formed after June 1st each year and will remain as a team from that point until the following June.  This will allow for the maximum growth potential of the players and the teams. These players will NOT play on any recreational teams during the regular recreational soccer season.

Teams will be formed in single age groups as possible with one (or more, depending upon attendance and talent level at the tryouts) team(s) for boys and girls in each age group (U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18 & U19). Cost of the Primary Roster DII (all-star) program will include registration fees, player passes, uniform costs, and potentially, coaches’ costs.  Additional costs are dependent upon the number of tournaments entered and travel expenses.

Tryouts will be announced on the SMSC website and via email to all addresses currently on file. ALL interested players are encouraged to attend regardless of past clubs affiliated with or played for.

Coaches chosen for All-Stars must hold a Level “E” license or higher.  Interested qualified coaches and or players may contact SMSC’s First Vice-President.  Click on “Board of Directors” in the Additional Information section at the bottom of the main SMSC webpage for contact information.

Secondary Rostered Division II Teams

Secondary Rostered All-Star teams are formed towards the end of the Recreational Season.  All players who are rostered on a Recreational team in SMSC are eligible to try out for the Secondary Roster All-Star Team.  Tryouts usually occur in January-February, and will be announced on the SMSC website and via email to all Recreational player email addresses currently on file. Players chosen for DII Secondary Roster All-Stars will continue playing recreational soccer as well as DII (All-Star). Teams will be formed as player interest and talent allows. Cost of the Secondary Roster DII program will be the same as those associated with Primary Rostered All-Stars, however, the registration and players pass fees are somewhat less, and there are fewer tournament opportunities.  The Secondary Roster All-Star season runs from approximately mid-March through mid-June.
