Michelle Jeanfreau. Coach Jeanfreau grew up playing soccer in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and has been involved in soccer since the young age of 5. Her career play began at the recreational level and she began playing select and travel soccer during her teen years. She played on the Olympic Development team throughout her High School years and helped The St. Charles High school Soccer Team win the State Championship in 1992. While in High School she was awarded All-Region honors her sophomore through senior years. She continued to play after high school for the NCAA Division 1 Wright State Raider’s in Dayton Ohio, where she played on a full scholarship. Michelle had a successful career there and was awarded, 2nd team All- Conference (1994), All- Ohio team (1994, 1995), MVP (1994, 1995) and 1st team All- Conference (1995). Michelle was also a 2 year captain for her team and earned the captains award (1995). Michelle was called to try out for the National team in 1996 and became a national pool player. She also played for the Columbus Ziggx in the women’s professional soccer league. Michelle holds her National C license and has coached for Machnik soccer camps (now the No. 1 soccer camp). She has been coaching at SMSC for 3 years and is coaching the Division II Primary Allstar U8 boys.
